SUMMER SOLSTICE HERB MAGICK & FLOWER CROWN MAKING
In person at the Berkeley Herbal Center on Friday, June 23rd from 5:00-7:00pm
Celebrate the beginning of summer in an herb-centered ritual inspired by the Celtic solstice festival known as Litha. Our ritual will include intention setting with a focus on personal power, a flower crown making activity, and the opportunity to craft your own essential oil ritual spray. Herb-infused mocktails and sweet treats will be provided.

4 WEEK INTRO TO HERBALISM CLASS
In person at the Berkeley Herbal Center on Wednesdays, January 25th, February 1st, 8th, and 15th from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm
Herb Walk: Sunday, February 12th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
This 4-part herbalism course is for beginners who want to bring herbs into their everyday life. In this class you’ll gain knowledge about many facets of herbs and herbal medicine. You will learn basic human physiology and how to use herbs to support common conditions that happen within each body system. You’ll also learn how to prepare a number of herbal remedies, including herbal extracts, salves, lotions, syrups and teas. Finally, the class includes a walk in a local natural area where you’ll get to meet the medicinal plants that grow around us.

FREE HERB WALK IN BERKELEY!
Saturday, October 8th, 2022 from 2:30-3:30 at Strawberry Creek Park
Whether you can barely identify a dandelion or know your lavender varieties like the back of your hand, this herb walk is for you! Led by clinical herbalist and educator Alessandra Jones, we will identify and discuss several plants growing in and around Strawberry Creek Park. Alessandra will share botanical identification cues, ethical harvesting information, and both traditional and current uses of the plants to support holistic wellness.

We will meet in the grass in front of the Berkeley Herbal Center and begin our walk promptly at 2:30. There is an herbal medicine fair hosted by the Berkeley Herbal Center that is open from 11:00-5:00, so look for outdoor booths and you will find me behind them in the park!
